The Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive, Rest, & Alpine Welcome Dinner

Welcome to Switzerland! After landing, you will make your way to the hotel with step by step directions provided.

Take the afternoon to settle into your room, unpack, or head straight to the outdoor hot tub to soothe any travel fatigue.

In the evening, dine by yourself or join others for conversation.

Day 2: The Magic of Lauterbrunnen & Mürren + Michelin Dining

We begin our exploration with a classic. We will venture into the jaw dropping Lauterbrunnen Valley, famous for its towering cliff faces and frozen waterfalls, before ascending the worlds steepest cable car to the car free mountain village of Mürren. Drink in the views of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau peaks.

Swiss culinary arts with an exceptional, locally sourced Michelin-starred dining experience.

Day 3: Goldenpass Express to the International Hot Air Balloon Festival

Today features one of the main highlights of our trip. We board the panoramic Goldenpass Express train, enjoying first-class comfort as rolling winter landscapes pass by our windows.

Destination: Château-d’Oex for the world famous International Hot Air Balloon Festival. You will watch dozens of vibrant balloons lift off against the alpine backdrop.

• Optional Upgrade: Elevate your trip by booking an optional $450 hot air balloon flight to float directly above the peaks.
• Optional Upgrade 2: Don’t want to fly? The local museum offers “virtual flight” options starting at $100 in their ‘flight’ theater. It’s surprisingly good!!
• Lunch & Dinner to explore on your own.

Day 4: Epic Ski (or Après-Ski) Day at Kleine Scheidegg Männlichen

It is time to hit the slopes! We head into the heart of the Jungfrau region, basing ourselves out of Grindelwald for a magnificent day on the snow at Kleine Scheidegg–Männlichen.

• For Skiers/Snowboarders: Enjoy perfectly groomed runs framed by the legendary Eiger North Face.
• For Non-Skiers: Enjoy a beautiful winter mountain walk, take in the panoramic viewing platforms, and join the group for a lively, sun-soaked alpine après ski lunch on the terrace.
• Lunch & Dinner to explore on your own.

Day 5: Restorative Spa & Wellness Recovery Day

After a busy day on the mountain, Day 5 is dedicated entirely to pure wellness and physical restoration. We will spend the day enjoying the premium facilities at the Beatus Wellness & Spa Hotel.

Float in the heated outdoor saltwater pool right on the edge of the lake, clear your mind in the saunas, or opt to book a personalized massage treatment to completely recharge your battery. (Note, if you are up for a bigger day journey, we can also HIGHLY recommend Rigi Kaltbad or Bürgenstock Alpine Spa).

This can be done as a group or on your own. In the area is also the wonderful Niederhorn mountain peak and hike. This is not included in the trip but is a small extra funicular/cable car fee to go to the top of one of the most gorgeous mountains in the Interlaken region.

Day 6: Free Day

You’re encouraged to explore on your own. There will be options to join various activities locally and Paolo will have many recommendations available, but the day is yours to unwind how you like or head out on an adventure.

Day 7: Culinary or Cultural Experience

Think: Hands on cooking class, cheesemaking demonstration or chocolate tour. Switzerland plans a lot of these closer to the travel dates, so we will be keeping an eye on these for specifics. It will be a nice surprise and leave room for other activities in the day.

Day 8: Fond Farewells & Departures

After one final breakfast looking out at the morning alpine glow, it is time to pack up our memories. You can seamlessly catch your outbound train utilizing your 1st Class Swiss Travel Pass to head to the airport, or continue your European holiday from here!

This trip is uniquely built to offer the structure of a premium guided tour with the absolute freedom of independent travel. You can choose to stick close to our incredible guide, Paolo, for all excursions, or seamlessly head off on your own track whenever the mood strikes.
